Chiropractors pull further out in front in senior league

Fines Ford Lincoln and Rutherford Global Logistics battled to a 6-6 tie in Caledon Senior Hockey League action last Monday night.
In other games at the Don Sheardown Memorial Arena, Bolton Chiropractic Centre bombed the Jiffy Lube Oilers 7-0 to stretch their lead in the standings and Heart Lake Insurance whipped Yale Industrial Trucks 7-2.
Rutherford 6, Fines Ford 6
Rutherford fought back from a 6-3 deficit with three goals in the last half of the third period to force the tie.
They spread the scoring around as four players wound up with three points and two others chipped in two each. John Pitsadiotis had two goals and an assist while Jim Pitre matched him in goals. David Shoalts and Maurizo Giorgio both scored and had two assists. Gary Hughes bagged three assists while Steve Tarasco set up two goals. Scott Sinclair and Howard Wight each had one assist.
John Crossley and Kyle Smith led Fines with two goals each. Bernie Tisdale led the points parade for Fines with three assists. Marty Madensky had a goal and an assist with team rep Jim Dunbar firing one goal. Wayne Stokes clicked for two assists while James Hardman, Romas Kriliavicius, Gary Faultless and Mike Foley had one each.
Bolton Chiropractic 7, Jiffy Lube 0
Jim Moyer had the biggest night for the Chiropractors with a goal and three assists.
Nick Taccogna was right behind him with a goal and two assists while Gary Moss scored twice. Jim Horan and Mark Perrin both had a goal and an assist. Danny Avram scored the other goal. Single assists went to Ted Callighen, Bill Moyer, Mike Shore, Mike Gasparini, George Armstrong and Pete McNamara. Goaltender Darrin Groleau earned the shutout.
Heart Lake 7, Yale 2
Victor Marrelli was flying for Heart Lake with three goals and an assist.
Greg Frangakas chipped two goals with team rep Ian Kerr notching a goal and two assists. Sponsor Chris Spilar scored a goal and added an assist. Jack Gibson finished with two assists while singles went to Santo Gazzolla, Murray Hurst, Rod Sinclair and Tony Dinis.
James Heenan powered Yale with two goals while sponsor Al McFadyen collected two assists. Single assists went to Greg Twinney and Bruno Fracassi.
Dec. 7
It was an evening for upsets Dec. 7.
Jiffy Lube drove Fines Ford into the ice, blasting them 7-3.
In other action, Yale whipped the Chiropractors 9-3 to narrow their lead in the standings, and Heart Lake edged Rutherford 5-4.
Jiffy Lube 7, Fines Ford 3
Jeff Boyles, Rick Agar and team rep Garry Hoxey powered the Jiffy Lube offence.
Boyles scored twice while Agar and Hoxey both had one goal and two assists. Carlo Fantin, Larry Pevato and team sponsor Brian Fetterly scored the other goals. Peter Coghill and Steve Sanderson had one assist each.
Team rep Dunbar, John Pallotta and Greg Collins scored for Fines. Foley and John Castellucci had one assist apiece.
Yale 9, Bolton Chiropractic 3
Dominic Ierullo and Heenan were the sparkplugs for Yale with two goals and one assist each.
Fracassi had one goal and two assists. Cashing in for one and one were Stefan Pacula, Dom Orazio, Ron Sampson and team sponsor McFadyen. Garth Young and Bill Davis had one assist each.
Moss led the Chiropractors with a goal and an assist. George Armstrong and sponsor Shore scored the other goals. Single assists went to Taccogna and Horan.
Heart Lake 5, Rutherford 4
Frangakas scored with 1:48 left in the third period to choke off a Rutherford comeback from a 4-1 deficit to give Heart Lake the win.
He also added an assist. Marrelli scored two goals while Dinis and team rep Kerr had one each. Gibson notched two assists with singles going to team sponsor Spilar, Joe Guaragna and Frank Cirone.
Giorgio led Rutherford with two goals while Rick Geiger and Tarasco also scored. Joe Palumbo had one assist.
Nov. 30
The previous week saw Yale score with just more than a minute left in the game to steal a 6-4 win from Fines Ford.
In other league play, the Chiropractors downed Heart Lake 4-2 and Rutherford swamped the Oilers 10-3.
Yale 6, Fines Ford 4
With the teams tied 4-4 through most of the third period, Ierullo scored the winning goal for Yale with 1:03 left. Sampson potted an empty-net goal with 30 seconds to play to snuff out Fines’ comeback hopes.
Ierullo also had an assist while Davis led the Yale scoring with two goals. Orazio bagged three points with a goal and two assists. Twinney scored the other goal. Young and Robert Masutti had two assists each with a single going to Dan Tasson.
Foley and Dave Armstrong had a goal and an assist each for Fines. Tisdale and Collins scored the other goals. Romas Krilavicius, Castellucci and Pallotta had single assists.
Bolton Chiropractic 4, Heart Lake 2
This was another thriller, as George Armstrong scored with 3:38 left in the game to give the Bonebenders the win and then assisted on Bob McHardy’s empty-netter.
Moss had a goal and an assist for the winners, while their other goal came from Horan. Taccogna, Avram, Bill Moyer and Perrin all notched one assist.
Rutherford 10, Jiffy Lube 3
This was a game of hat tricks, as Rutherford had two and Jiffy Lube replied with one.
Giorgio and Hughes had the quick sticks for Rutherford with three goals each. Bret Smith was the top points man with two goals and two assists. Tarasco and Geiger had a goal and an assist each. Palumbo and Pitre were the top set-up men with three assists each. Shoalts, Gary Stewart and Wight had one assist apiece.
Agar was the three-goal man for Jiffy Lube. Jim Rogers and Boyles had two assists each while Hoxey added one.
