Tax benefits for small business owners to be discussed at SBEC

Could your small business benefit from accounting and tax deduction information?
Caledon Small Business Enterprise Centre (SBEC) at Caledon Community Services will be hosting a free guest speaker seminar, What Small Business Owners Should Know about Tax Issues.
It will be next Friday (Aug. 28) from 1 to 4 p.m. at the SBEC offices at 18 King St. East in Bolton.
Gerry J. Hogenhout, CGA, CFP, AMP of Hogenhout and Associates Inc., will be offering an informative seminar discussing various tax benefits of business structures (proprietorships, partnerships, corporations); government requirements for filings, HST, employee tax deductions, WSIB, corporate tax; deductions available to all businesses; and bookkeeping tips (Quickbooks, Sage). A question and answer time will follow.
As a chartered professional accountant with a background in public accounting for 30 years, Hogenhout offers helpful information for a variety of businesses.
