Reflections upon being a Pan Am Torch bearer

June 22, 2015   ·   0 Comments

June 13, 2015 was a most incredible day — A lifetime achievement and a profoundly moving emotional experience.
I am so honoured to have been chosen torch bearer! So touched! So profoundly moved! Thank you so very much. Merci bien. Gracias de me corison.
I reflect upon the things of my past that brought me to this present. My support team who cheered me on. My partner and husband Carl, my coach, who was so proud. My daughter being there too along with my many relatives and friends to witness and share this event. The kind words and fabulous smiles shared. Being proudly Canadian together! Having our community meet and greet and intermingle is such an incredible positive charge.
I stayed up until well after midnight living every second of my day. What an ego boost this has been!
We live in an awesome community and country, where dreams do come true! Conceive, believe, achieve! Dream big! Weren’t those fireworks spectacular? What a finish! Woo-hoo!
Viva Pan Am! Yeah Canada! Stand proud! I really feel I have evolved and am no longer who I was before this incredible honour happened. I have been profoundly touched, forever.

Caledon East
