Double nights of action in the IBHL

The Inglewood Ball Hockey League saw two nights of action last week, and that gave George’s Arena Sports two chances to stretch their lead in the standings.
June 9
Carney Plumbing 5
Ron’s Tire Discounter 3
In a tight battle that saw no penalties, the short-benched Carney crew pulled out the win.
Net nabbing for Carney were Ron Churly with the hat-trick, and Jeff Rumbolt and Scott Churly with singles. Assists were from Scott Churly, Rumbolt, Peter Davis, Shaun Lane and Todd Elson.
Ron’s go-to guy was Joshua D’Eri with all three, with help from Daniel Mulhern and Dillon Hesketh.
George’s Arena Sports 4
Caledon Hills Cycling 1
George’s go to guys were Joe Christiano from Matt Scida, Mike Volpe (unassisted), Nick Franseze from Ferdinando Colella and Chris Della Morra, and Della Morra from Scida and Matt Chiarantano.
Caledon Hills Cycling’s lone peddler was Matt White from Peter Christie and Kyle Young.

Point getters for George’s were Volpe, Luigi D’Agostino, Franseze, Scida, Della Morra, Justin Fiorini, Christiano and Sunny Gill.
Caledon Hills Cycling 3
Carney Plumbing 1
Caledon Hills pedaled past the plumbers with a strong effort and were able to hold off the late game surge and keep the win.
Scorers for Caledon Hills were Phil Anselmi, Dave Philips and Travis Cassar, with help from Kyle Dalcin, Cassar, Terry Masters and Christie.
Carney’s lone lamp lighter was Ron Churly from Scott Churly and Crystal Janes.
