WINNER IN ART BATTLE

WINNER IN ART BATTLE Lynda Clare Grant, manager of the Bartlett Gallery at Alton Mill Arts Centre is also an accomplished artist. She proved that recently by winning the fibal event in the Headwaters Region Art Battle Championship. Members of the audience got to vote for their favourite painting. The winning entry was entitled The Origin of Life, an acrylic work she created in 20 minutes. For winning the event, she took home $100 and moves on to the provincial competition in Mississauga in June, with a chance to go to the National Art Battle Championship in P.E.I. in July.
