The latest Art Battle took place recently at Alton Mill, with Max Grunin of the Caledon village area Whole Village, taking the honours. He won $100 and the chance move on to the regional final May 22, with a opportunity to compete at the National Championship in Prince Edward Island in July. Others taking part in the finals were Paige Bultje of the Guelph area, Linda Jenetti of the Shelburne area and Ida DeMaria of Nobleton. Art Battle is live, competitive painting, in which the artists create the best work they can in 20 minutes. With only limited tools, the artists must battle to create the winning piece.
