Mayfield Secondary School Tyler May This Grade 10 student is a power forward on the junior boys’ basketball team, which got its season off to a bit of a rough start, “but we’re getting better.” He’s planning to go out for track and field in the spring, specializing in the 100 metres. In the community, he plays rep basketball in the Caledon Cougars’ organization, and shoots videos for the Brampton A’s basketball club. The 15-year-old lives in the Alton area with his parents Andy and Leah May.

Hall Catholic Secondary School Lindsey Smith This 17-year-old has been contributing her skills as a right winger on the varsity girls’ hockey team, which won four of its first five matches this season. She was also a quarterback for the flag football team and is hoping to be a midfielder on the school’s soccer team. In the community, she plays in the Etobicoke Junior Hockey Club organization. The Grade 12 student lives in Orangeville with her parents Sharon and Tim Smith

This 17-year-old has been contributing her skills as a right winger on the varsity girls’ hockey team, which won four of its first five matches this season. She was also a quarterback for the flag football team and is hoping to be a midfielder on the school’s soccer team. In the community, she plays in the Etobicoke Junior Hockey Club organization. The Grade 12 student lives in Orangeville with her parents Sharon and Tim Smith.

St. Michael Catholic Secondary School Billie Moorman This Grade 9 student has been competing on the school’s swim team. At a meet before Christmas, she posted first-place showings in the 50-metre fly and free, second in the 100-metre IM and third in a relay. Away from school she swims for the Dorado Stars. The 14-year-old lives in Bolton with her parents Diane Plourde and Bill Moorman.

She was active in cross-country running in the fall, and is planning to go out for track and field in the spring, looking to specialize in the heptathlon. She also said she might go out for rugby. In the community, she’s a member of 310 Running. The Grade 10 student lives in Bolton with her parents Natasha and Trevor Jordan.
